A disused farmyard in Grimstead, Wiltshire, was transformed into a modern family home on a defined budget. This was a project that required discipline and ingenuity in equal measure, and it delivered both.
It was also, in James's own words, a breakthrough. The kind of one-off, individual project that gave the team a taste for building homes that are genuinely unique, and set the direction for much of what has followed.
