Project: Stable Conversion,

Over Wallop, Hampshire

Renovation

Type: Residential

Client: Private Client

Project: 15 months

This project began with a historic cob building that had seen better days and ended with a space that exceeded everyone's expectations.

The old stable block at this farmhouse in Over Wallop needed more than a sympathetic renovation. Before any of the interior work could begin, the structure itself had to be assessed, stabilised, and secured. Working with cob demands patience and a respect for what is already there, and the team brought both.

Once the fabric of the building was safe, the transformation could begin. Working closely with a client who had a clear and considered vision, James Burton Construction delivered an additional living space that felt both entirely new and entirely in keeping.

The client's own words: “ Phenomenal, and beyond our expectations.”
